FAQ

I believe as we age, the primary purpose of exercise should shift from reasons of vanity to wellness. You can look amazing in a bathing suit but if your body feels 20 years older than your actual age, your quality of life will decrease. This is why a solid exercises program should focus on preparing our bodies for the demands of everyday life while also toning up those trouble areas.  Functional exercise is key.

Functional fitness exercises train your body to perform everyday activities safely and efficiently. For example, it is essential that we learn to perform a proper hip hinge and squat so that we can lift heavy items from the floor for the rest of our lives.

Once a solid foundation for movement is established, then and only then should more advanced exercises be introduced.

The 7 Foundational Human Movements include: Push, Pull, Squat, Lunge, Hinge, Rotation and Gait. All of these movements are incorporated in my wellness programs.
