We leverage ergonomic principles learned in the field (industrial, office, healthcare) and use them to improve the way you move and function in your everyday life. Whether you are sedentary and looking to curb the impacts of sitting all day, senior citizen looking to remain strong and mobile, or a stay at home parent with the goal of being able to lift your children without pain, we can help you adapt your body to meet the imposed demands of your daily life. Prevention is key!

Ergonomics + Fitness = Increased Productivity

It is important to recognize the effect our environment has on our health. Individuals who perform the same tasks or similar tasks repeatedly throughout the day are at an increased risk of injury. Faulty body mechanics, stress and poor posture can further exacerbate the problem. It is essential that we all learn to engage in behaviors that prevent these issues from becoming medical problems that may cause more significant dysfunctions down the road. According to OSHA, work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are among the most frequently reported causes of lost or restricted work time.

People who engage in physical fitness activities on a regular basis are healthier physically and less prone to injury. Healthier people are happier and 30-40% more productive.

We believe there are 2 Main Keys to Wellness at it pertains to Musculoskeletal health: 

1. Identifying and addressing all sources of ergonomic stress and strain in your daily life (computer workstation, sleeping posture, vehicle setup, faulty lifting mechanics, etc) to prevent injury.

2.  Engaging in a personalized movement/fitness program to improve your strength, range of motion, mobility, and posture. The goal is to help prime your body to meet the demands of your daily life.

Group Fitness Classes!

  • Live Group Fitness Classes for Small and Large Groups

1 on 1 Fitness Coaching

  • 1 on 1 personalized coaching workout intended to burn fat and sculpt your body.
  • Emphasis is on improving functional fitness, flexibility, and muscle tone
  • Minimal equipment needed
  • Self Myofascial release techniques are taught using foam rollers and lacrosse balls to aid in releasing tight muscles
  • Modifications are made to increase or decrease the intensity of training based on your fitness needs
  • Your personal program is updated as you progress

Deskbound Focused
Mobility Fit Session

  • 30 or 60 minute mid-day session tailored for desk-bound/ computer-bound workers
  • Intended to counterbalance the effects of sitting for prolonged periods with poor posture 
  • Emphasis is placed on posture and stretching muscles that become tight from prolonged sitting (hip flexors, pectoralis muscles, etc) while strengthening muscles that are “underactive” (mid back and glutes).
  • Low to Moderate intensity workout
  • Attention is placed on breathing techniques to refresh your mind and body so you crush the second half of your day!

Senior Focused
Mobility Fit Session

  • We are all going to get old(er) one day, but the goal is to push that day back as long as possible. 
  • These 1 on 1 coaching sessions are specifically tailored for seniors looking to improve their mobility and conditioning
  • Emphasis is placed on balance, mobility, functional strength, and everyday injury prevention strategies

*Ergonomic Evaluation*

  • A review of all possible sources of repetitive strain in your daily life and a personalized plan to address each one
  • In-depth Home or office Workstation Ergonomic Evaluation
  • Common tasks associated with repetitive stress injuries:
    • Driving- An improper car seat and steering wheel combination 
    • Frequent lifting with improper mechanics (often times a child or household item)
    • Non-ergonomically sound workstation or make-shift workstation
    • Sleeping Posture
    • Poor posture when washing dishes or vacuuming
  • A personalized movement/exercise plan is designed based on your goals and lifestyle

Post Rehab
Fitness

  • Virtual coaching sessions walking clients through their Home Exercise Program (HEP) prescribed by their physical therapist
  • Only 35% of physical therapy patients adhere to their Home Exercise Program (HEP) while still under care
  • Less than 10% of former physical therapy patients report still adhering to their Home Exercise Program (HEP) 6 months after discharge
